If youre wondering why Im yelling, its cause Im SOOOO EXCITED!!!!!
Cant tell can ya.
We are booking our summer vacation to Florida this week. ( Lord willing, it is all going to work out, and it will be all set and paid for this week!! It may not seem like a big deal to most but it IS to me for a few reasons....
1) Mark and I have not been on vacation since our honeymoon 6 yrs ago.
2) The boys have never been to the beach.
3) I love all things summer
4) this past summer I about DIED wanting to go somewhere...anywhere for a trip, and we just could not afford it. I didnt think it would be possible this year, but we are making it happen,
and most of all...
5) its our VERY FIRST FAMILY vacation. Thats US as a family. Me. Mark. Konnor. Cole. Thats it!! no one else is invited. We are doing this on our own. OUR family. I LOVE IT!!!!!!!! I CANNOT wait until July 29th!!!!!!!!!!!! Its gonna feel like forever, but its good in a way, cause I can hopefully get in beach shape by then....now Im really motivated!!!! I swear I just cannot wait for the whole thing. The car ride, the pool, the sand, the hotel room with the boys. Its just going to be amazing to experience this with my kids. Im so EXCITED!!! did I say that yet??
I have been up shopping looking at swim trunks, sand toys, kids suitcases etc all night!! ANyone who has gone on trips with their kiddos, Im open for tips, suggestions on stuff to take!!!! Im starting now getting stuff, I just cant wait. I adore the beach, I used to go every summer as a kids and am just SO blessed that I get to do this as a mommy!!! IM SO EXCITED!!!! =)

How fun! You may want to invest in a beach umbrella to try and keeep the boys out of the sun when they're not in the water. You can pick one up at Walmart once you're down there for pretty cheap. We also keep him in a hat and rash guard shirt. (Blondies burn really easily, but I'm sure you know that!) Where in FL are you headed? My parents are in Panama City and my brothers in Pensacola. I love it down there!

We have taken a lot of trips. I would say to make sure to bring toys they like to play with at the hotel (or wherever you are staying). And if possible, a portable DVD player! Also we always map out the closest urgent care place that takes our insurance in case anything happens.

Sounds like fun!!! Portable DVD player- I second that one. I also try to get a few new toys over time and tuck them away to pull out for long car/plane rides for Cooper.
Aw, yay! That's awesome!!! You should be excited. We have started planning a big family vacay and I am sooooooooo excited about it too!!
Hmmm, tips...I agree that a portable DVD player is awesome. We use it for every trip. I also like to have a special bag of only NEW toys. Every now and then I will pull something special out that has never been played with before and it is so exciting! It keeps their attention longer sometimes. I'll let you know if I think of anything else worthwhile!
